Windows XP
The following steps will walk you through setting up your Internet connection
on a Windows XP machine. If you experience problems or have any questions, please

- Open up your Control Panel. This is generally done by going to
Start -> Control Panel
- Switch to Category View if you're not already there. Click on
Network and Internet Connections.
- Click on Create a connection to the network at your workplace.
Note: The "Set up or change your Internet connection"
option will accomplish the same task but asks more questions and generally takes
longer to setup.
- Choose Dial-up connection. Click on Next >.
- For the Company Name, enter MSWorldNet. Click on Next >.
- Enter the phone number as show below.
(Stevens Point Area: 344-8656, Amherst Area: 592-6421).
Click on Next >.
- Click on the checkbox to Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop.
Click on Finish.
- Enter your user name and password when prompted.
Click the Save this user name and password...
option if appropriate.
Click on Connect.
- You're Finished!!! Welcome to the Internet!
