The following steps will walk you through setting up your Internet connection
on a Macintosh machine. If you experience problems or have any questions, please
do not hesitate to contact us.
- Double click on Hard Drive icon.
Double click on Internet folder.
Double click on Network and Dial-Up Connections
- Click the right arrow to continue
- Choose the Add Internet configuration option.
- Click the right arrow to continue
- In the What would you like to name this configuration?
text box, enter MSWorldNet.
For the How will you be connecting to the Internet? selection, choose Modem.
- Click the right arrow to continue
- In the Which modem are you using? box,
select your modem from the list. In the Which port is the modem connected to?
drop down menu, choose Modem Port. Choose Tone for the
Does your phone line use tone or pulse? question.
- Click the right arrow to continue
- In the What is the phone number for this configuration? text box,
enter the phone number as shown. (Stevens Point Area: 344-8656, Amherst Area: 592-6421).
In the What name do you use with this server? text box, enter your
MSWorldNet login name. In the What is your password? text box,
enter your password.
- Click the right arrow to continue
- Select No for the Is there an IP address for this configuration? question.
- Click the right arrow to continue
- In the What is the DNS address (or addresses) for this configuration?
text box, type 67.38.57.13,
press the Enter key, then type 67.38.57.14,
press the Enter key, then type 67.38.57.15.
In the What is the Domain Name (or host name) for this configuration? text box,
enter msworldnet.com
- Click the right arrow to continue
- In the What is the e-mail address for this configuration? text box enter your
e-mail address (login@msworldnet.com).
In the What is the e-mail password for this configuration? text box, enter your password.
- Click the right arrow to continue
- In the What is the e-mail account for this configuration? text box, enter
your e-mail address (login@msworldnet.com).
In the What is the e-mail host for this configuration? text box, enter
smtp.msworldnet.com
- Click the right arrow to continue
- In the What is the news group host for this configuration? text box,
enter news.msworldnet.com - (this step is optional).
- Click the right arrow to continue
- Select the Connect when finished checkbox. Click Show Details button.
- Verify that all the account information is correct, then click
the Hide Details button.
- Click the Go Ahead button to connnect to MSWorldNet.
- You're Finished!!! Welcome to the Internet!
